BASIC RULES

ELITE RACE –

  • ELITE Athletes must complete ALL OBSTACLES & EXERCISES in order to keep their wrist band. They are allowed multiple attempts. If they can’t complete something, they must turn their band in to you before leaving your station. They can still finish the race without their band, they just won’t be eligible for prizes.

  • ELITE Athletes are allowed to receive drinks, food, towels, lifting belts, gloves, chalk, etc. from spectators. No lifting straps (used for deadlifts) are allowed.

  • ELITE Athletes must count their reps of the exercises OUT LOUD.

  • ELITE Athletes must complete exercise reps correctly. If they do an incorrect rep, tell them “NO REP”, and they will repeat that rep.

  • ELITE Athletes not following your direction should have their bib number recorded and turned in to Chris asap.

OPEN RACE –

  • OPEN Athletes are here for FUN! The may receive physical assistance from one another and can skip obstacles and exercises as needed.

SAFETY

  • Stay on course at all times. If you need to leave, please be sure someone takes your place.

  • DRINK WATER & WEAR SUN PROTECTION. Bring snacks to your stationed area.

  • Report any safety hazards or participant injuries to Race Staff immediately.

  • If an obstacle or exercise appears to become a safety hazard, immediately shut it down, and tell racers to bypass it. Communicate hazard immediately to race staff.

  • Do not render first aid, unless certified to do so. Report immediately, and our first aid staff will get there asap.

  • Do not demand obstacle completion for any racer. You are welcome to encourage participants, but for safety reason, please make it known that obstacle completion is not required (only required to be eligible for awards, but not required to finish the race).
